Robin Hoods Bay
Robin Hoods Bay is within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the village dates back to the days of smugglers and fishing folk, its cobbled streets and pretty painted cottages nestle into the cliffs surrounded by some of the most beautiful coastline in the country.

The beach, of sand and rocks, has been regularly awarded the ENCAMS Seaside Award and will be flying the distinctive blue and yellow flag if appropriate.

The bay is one of the most appealing unspoilt villages on the East Coast. With excellent scenic coastal walks and cycle rides, The Coast to Coast walk finishes at the slipway at the Bay.

The village has several friendly shops, fish and chip shop, cafes, pubs (most serve meals and real ale) and Bistro which help make it an all year round pleasure.

Whitby
The fishing town of Whitby is a short drive away where there is a supermarket, shopping, a famous abbey, church, piers and many eateries including the Magpie Café (Fish Restaurant).

Whitby is dominated by the cliff-top ruins of the beautiful
13th century Whitby Abbey.

A selection of diverse attractions includes the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Victorian Jet Works, the Dracula Experience, Pannett Park and Whitby Museum.

Goathland
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway offers an 18 mile trip through the heart of the moors, down ancient Newtondale.
Stop off at Goathland, with its steam railway the Hogwarts Express featured in Harry Potter films and also famous as Aidensfield in the TV series Heartbeat.

Scarborough
With the safe, sandy, accredited North Bay Beach and South Bay Beach being broken by a rocky headland on which stands a reminder of the past, the historic Scarborough Castle.

Other attractions include the Sea Life Marine Sanctuary, Scarborough Art Gallery and the newly refurbished Rotunda Museum, along with many festivals, including Seafest, Jazz, Bike week, Scarborough Fayre and the Scarborough Cricket Festival, provide you with all year round events.
