Is there a log fire in Dock Cottage
Yes, Dock Cottage has a lovely wood-burning stove in the lounge to keep you warm and cosy, especially during those chilly evenings.
We provide enough logs to get you started, and if you need more, Muir Lea Stores in the lower bay has plenty available. Similarly Baytown stores at the top of the bay is also well stocked.
Is the cottage accessible for those with mobility issues?
Due to the historic nature of the cottage and its location in the heart of the village, there are steps and uneven surfaces that may not be ideal for those with limited mobility.
The main bathroom is also quite compact, making access to the toilet a bit tight. However, there is a separate toilet off the lounge for added convenience.
The bathroom looks a bit tight on the photos?
Yes it is snug. The shower and sink are easily accessible, but access to the toilet is a bit of a squeeze, to say the least. The joys of a 17th century cottage limits what we can do.
However, there is a separate toilet downstairs.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, we provide free Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected during your stay. It is provided by the local community cooperative Bay Broadband.
